For many years the practice has been LED by Mike Harrison and Alan Smith, with the help of the other dedicated vets, nurses, receptionists and administrative staff.

Alan Smith Alan Smith

Alan is a Clinical Director at Kinfauns with a special interest in surgery.
He has a Labrador, can play a variety of musical instruments, and he enjoys golf and travelling where he puts his linguistic skills to good use.

Mike Harrison Mike Harrison

Mike is our other Clinical Director and has a special interest in medicine.
He enjoys walking with his dog and closely follows cricket.
His holidays are often spent visiting family in Australia.

April Mahoney April Mahoney

April joined our practice in 2012 and became Clinical Director in 2015. She is originally from Somerset but enjoys living in Essex with her two cats.
When not at work, she is often found attending her surgical certificate or at a Zumba class.

Helene Johnsen

Helene Johnsen

Helene arrived at our practice in 2000. She now works part-time as she has a young family. She is also enrolled for an internal medicine certificate.

Karyn KanowskiKaryn Kanowski

Karyn joined our practice on 2012 and is from Brisbane, Australia. She has 3 cats (2 in Australia) and enjoys exploring Europe when not at work.

Ian UptonIan Upton

Ian has been treating animals at Kinfauns since 1998 and is an avid gardener. He enjoys being a vet for the day to day variety it brings.

Caro WellsCaro Wells

Caro is from South Africa and joined in 2005. She has one dog and is based in Dovercourt. Her interests include travel and photography.
